Benefits of Adding Bulgarian Yogurt as a part of your Daily Diet

What if I tell you that there is a new type of yoghurt that is tastier, creamier and thinner than the Greek Yogurt. What if I further tell you that this Yogurt has all of it to complete your daily diet needs. What if I add further that this yoghurt is the oldest dairy product known for the longevity and healthy life. Yes, Bulgarian Yogurt is the new Black and is the ‘talk of the town’ these days. Until now the Greek Yogurt was dominating the shelf of the refrigerated aisle of the store, but the way Bulgarian Yogurt is smashing its market, it seems it soon is going to replace it. Here in this article, I am going to tell you 5 reasons why Bulgarian Yogurt should replace any other yoghurt available in the market.

#1 Rich in Vitamins and Minerals and Low in Sugar

The Bulgarian Yogurt is made out of sheep’s milk and since it is not strained it contains plenty of Calcium, Vitamin D, Potassium and Vitamin A as well as it is low in carbs so far as the sugar contained Carbohydrates are concerned. This nutritionally sound food also helps in preventing bone-related problems and gastrointestinal infections. Due to its slow and unique process of fermentation that lasts for 24 hours, it contains less lactose and that makes is the Super Food for the lactose-intolerant people. Originated in Bulgaria, it is a part of Bulgarians’ daily food that keeps the length of their life span longer.

#2 The Presence of the ‘Good’ Bacteria

Unlike the Greek Yogurt, Bulgarian Yogurt is not strained, and this makes it keep four different kinds of bacteria that kill the other bad bacteria. These bacteria help improve the digestive system as they not only enter the smaller intestine but the larger one as well. This increases the probiotic activity in your stomach that benefits the most when you are not getting an adequate amount of fibre. The probiotics are live organisms that help promote the nerve function, kill toxins, and amplify essential vitamins. The presence of a greater number of bacteria also helps remove the sugar hence more carbs but less sugar.

#3 Creamier and Thinner

Undoubtedly, the Bulgarian Yogurt is softer in texture and hence, it is creamier than the Greek Yogurt. While the Greek Yogurt is made, more amount of whey is strained which makes it thicker, the Bulgarian Yogurt, on the other hand, includes more of whey as it is not strained, ultimately making it thinner. This tastier organic food is also used as a weight loss formula and hence it can be consumed without any guilt.

#4 Lower Carbs Lower Fat

When we compare with the Greek Yogurt, the Bulgarian Yogurt contains lower carbs as the sugar in the carbs is eaten up by the bacteria. This also results in a stronger immune system, reduced blood pressure and cholesterol levels, and prevention of growing tumour. Interestingly, Carbs, when consumed with fat, makes it easier to store fat in the body. High Carbs High Fat combination will make it only difficult to store fat resulting in the higher blood sugar.

#5 Treat for the Tangy Taste Lovers

Due to is a slower fermentation process, the Bulgarian Yogurt gives a bit of more tart flavour than the other types of yoghurts. Those who like sweet taste can also consume it with honey and have a zingy sweet taste without any added sugar as well as less sugar contained carbs. Many times, the fermentation does not give that tart flavour to the yoghurt, but for the Bulgarian Yogurt, it is not the case. The 24-hour fermentation process of the Bulgarian Yogurt gives the time to add the tanginess to the protein-rich food.

Succinctly, the type of yoghurt that is tastier, smoother, thinner and makes you fill fuller, complete nutrient food for your daily diet is leading the Yogurt market currently. Moreover, the Bulgarians consume it since the last 4000 years which is why it is considered as an ancient health food. Its consumption has made them live longer than 100 years. For kids, this is the best form of the dairy product they can consume as it has all the nutrition that they require. The overnight transformation of the demand of the yoghurt from selecting Bulgarian Yogurt over the other types of Yogurt justifies it well due to its countless health benefits.
